(adj) bad. 2. often used to replace heck/hell in 'what the heck?...' to create 'what the bunk?' 3. (v) to mess something up. Example: "Dude, stop, you're gonna bunk it." 4. (n) a mistake. Example: "We tried to play, but there was a bunk in the setup of the game." BUNKING : 1. to be mired in a negative state of mind typically because something has made you angry 2. to be working not as expected. Example: "My computer is bunking" HURTING : having problems, similar to the popular 'having issues'. Example: "I called Cote to see if he wanted to go but he's hurting because of needing to study." Can also be used to describe someone who is being especially silly and nobody else is finding him/her funny. CHOP : (adj) slow. Example: "Quake 3 is chop on my machine." Example: "We tried to connect to the server but it was chopping so we gave up." FIRE : (v) to tell someone they're wrong or not thinking straight. Most commonly used as 'You're fired.' Kinda sorta like 'hurting' in some ways sometimes. Note that this was in use many many years before Donald Trump's show. OKAY! : no. TOTALLY : Agreement. VILA : {vigh-luh} Very much so. Totally. Used mostly in agreement with someone. VIOLENT : pretty much the same as 'vila' (a shortened version of 'to violently agree' or something like that) LIKE : A thought/conversation filler word (completely habitual). Often said 10 times within 20 seconds. See Derek. GAM : See: BAM (a la Emeril... but this was a typo in GCS) GEEK : Identical to calling someone 'dude' but most often used only once to get someone's attention, where 'dude' is often repeated throughout conversation. SWEET : Typically an interjection, as in "Sweet!" and often done in a higher pitch than normal. Sometimes used as an adjective to describe something as 'good'. SURF : 1. (v) to go 2. (v) to search for 3. (v) to peruse or browse CHEESE : To hedge on something. To take the easy or undignified route. Example: "Are you cheesing out of the movie plans even though we've been talking about doing this for 2 weeks?" Example: "Did you cheese on that one part of the game or did you do it right?" SNORKEL : To steal or borrow. Example: "Oh man, did you see that, Derek totally snorkeled a bunch of cote's fries when he wasn't looking." Sometimes used to just mean 'to get'. Example: "Dude, snorkel me a straw when you're in there (the kitchen)." NOT IT : Typically used to announce your disapproval of a topic. Example: "Dude, not it on getting my license renewed. What a pain in the ass." Origin: Schoolyard game where someone announces "1 2 3" as a countdown and then the last person to say "Not it" has to do whatever the unwanted task was. ACTION : 1. To get something done or start something, often something new or inventive. Example: "I was thinking about updating antifart.com." "Get action." 2. To have good qualities. Example: "That show had action." QUALITY : Especially good. Example: "Oh man, that sushi was quality." Sometimes shortened to just 'qual'. NOT SCARED : To be willing to do something. Most commonly used regarding events or plans of some sort. Example: "What about getting sushi tonight?" "I'm not scared." HEAR : To be in agreement with something. Not really the same as 'not scared'. Usually regarding agreement with a thought. Example: "Well, the game pretty much is the same as DOOM, ya know?" "I hear that." BUDGET : (adj) Cheaply made. Of poor quality. WOOGA : (n) A filler wildcard noun, most accurately used when describing something small and odd and even more accurately used when describing a small odd connector (jack, plug, etc) FINAGLE : to obtain by trickery or skill. ==========================================================================
